The AIG report

At one level, there’s not much news in the SIGTARP (YHTMAAAIYP) report on the AIG bailout: officials asked bankers to , bankers said Ni!, and that was that. But the report has renewed the debate over whether officials could have extracted something. I say yes.
第一に、SIGTARP（経済緊急安定化のために設立された局） レポートの中でＡＩＧ救済に関するニュースはほとんどなかった。　政府当局は、銀行に最適な価格以下の評価を受け入れるよう頼んだが、銀行は断った。それでお終いだった。take a haircutは、金融用語。当局が銀行から何か担保を引き出すかどうか議論を新しく呼び起こしている。私は、そうすべき（賛成）と思う。
